Due to the high melt viscosity during extrusion of PE 100 RC, its long-term hydrostatic strength, exceptional resistance to long-term loads and high resistance to crack propagation, three-layer polyethylene pipes made with PE 100 RC can be more widely used in the installation of water pipes (for example: it is possible to lay pipes without sand cushion and sanding, as well as the possibility of reusing excavated soil when installing in open trenches, as well as with trenchless laying methods).
Methods for laying and using three-layer polyethylene pipes:
laying in a trench with backfilling with local soil (without a sandy base and backfilling with sand);
Relining (pulling a pipe in an emergency network with a decrease in diameter);
laying in a narrow trench;
HDD (horizontal directional drilling);
Kreking (reconstruction by the method of destruction of the emergency pipeline with the preservation or increase in the diameter of the working pipe).
The depth of scratches (cuts) of the outer layer of the pipe is allowed up to 75% of its thickness.
Three-layer PE pipes PE 100 RC are connected, like ordinary PE 100 pipes, using polydiffusion welding (butt welding with a heated tool, using thermistor sleeves and socket parts), as well as mechanically using Unidelta compression parts.
